Economic Impact Award
Ozarks Food Harvest was named the 2009 Economic Impact Award winner in the charitable organization category by Springfield Business Journal on July 23, 2009. Outstanding Philanthropic Organization of the Year
The Ozarks Region Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals named Ozarks Food Harvest the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization of the Year on November 21, 2008, at Highland Springs Country Club. Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year
The local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals also recognized Ozarks Food Harvest’s executive director on National Philanthropy Day, November 21, 2008. Bart Brown was named Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year at the same ceremony The Food Bank was honored as the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization of the Year.
Jane
Meyer Nonprofit Excellence Award
In February
2008, Ozarks Food Harvest was awarded the Jane Meyer Nonprofit Excellence
Award, surpassing all other nonprofit organizations in the Springfield
area, for the successful, strategically effective Check Out Hunger™
holiday fundraising program. The Food Bank was also the Jane Meyer

Mobile
Food Pantry Recognized Internationally
Ozarks Food
Harvest’s Mobile Food Pantry program was chosen as one of
only two Rotary projects in the country to be profiled for Rotary
International’s Video Magazine. A film crew visited the Ozarks
the week of November 5, 2007 to shoot footage of the pantry in action.
The program is sponsored by Rotary Clubs of Springfield and the

Sunshine Award
In August 2005,
Club F.U.N.™ won the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service
“Summer Sunshine Award” for excellence in summer food
service programs that emphasize improved nutrition and physical
activities.
