Scouting
for Food – March
For 19 years, more than 70 southwest Missouri Boy Scout troops collect
food donations from community neighborhoods to benefit The Food Bank.
Troops distribute grocery bags in early March and “scout for
food” one week later to gather the donations for Ozarks Food
Harvest. This annual food drive typically collects nearly 10,000 pounds
of food! |

Hunger
Run™ – April
Panera Bread partners with The Food Bank to host the annual Hunger
Run, an 8K run and 1 mile fun run/walk. Participants run to fill empty
tummies. They run to fill empty cabinets. And they run because people
are depending on us for survival – people who aren’t sure
where their next meal will come from. People right here in the Ozarks.
The race begins in front of Panera Bread in the Southern Hills Shopping
Center. Registration forms can be picked up at area Panera Bread locations
and Ridge Runner Sports. If you would like to sponsor this event,
please call 865-3411.
