Giving Options for the Holidays

Make a donation in the name of a friend or loved one.  Give the gift that warms the heart and fills the soul.  Help feed a five people one meal for every dollar you donate.  A $100 donation will enable Ozarks Food Harvest to provide 500 healthy meals.

Adopt a backpack:  Provide a backpack of food for a hungry child this Christmas in honor or memory of a friend or family member.  $40 provides a backpack every weekend for a month, (24 meals) $150 provides a semester’s worth of backpacks, (108 meals) $300 provides a backpack a week for an entire school year. (216 meals)

Virtual Food Drive:  Visit Ozarksfoodharvest.org and click on How to Help-you’ll find our virtual food drive tool.  We can customize a virtual food drive for your family or office.  Easy, fun, and no cans to carry!

Sponsor A Mobile Food Pantry Day: A gift of $300 will pay for a Mobile Food Pantry Distribution that can provide 200 families  with groceries.  This makes a great family or office gift.

Check out Hunger:  $1.00 will allow Ozarks food Harvest to provide 5 meals.  Ask your grocery store checker to scan in an extra dollar to your grocery total.  All proceeds go to Ozarks Food Harvest. 

Host a Food Drive Christmas Potluck.  Have your guests bring nonperishable food items instead of calorie laden dishes or cookies, then bring the food to Ozarks Food Harvest.

Ozarks Food Harvest accepts a variety of gifts, including:

Gifts of cash
Gifts of securities, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds and IRAs
Gifts of personal property (i.e. gun collections, antique cars, artwork, etc.)
Gifts of real property, including real estate, homes, business property, farmland, etc.
Gifts of trusts, including charitable remainder trusts, unitrusts, lead trusts, family trusts, annuity trusts, etc.
Gifts of insurance, as long as Ozarks Food Harvest is both owner and beneficiary
Gifts of bequests (i.e. gifts received at death directed by a will or living trust)

We encourage you to discuss these various giving methods with your accountant and attorney and select the most effective way for you to continue to support Ozarks Food Harvest. Donations to Ozarks Food Harvest may be pledged and gifted over several years. Ozarks Food Harvest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the IRS Code.
